UCA’s Kumlin named WGCA All-American Scholar

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) recently announced its yearly All-American Scholar Team list. UCA sophomore Elin Kumlin earned her second All-American Scholar honor with this year’s nod.

Kumlin led the team with an average round of 75.92. She finished with an average score of 3.92 relative to par. Her top performance came at the Little Rock Golf Classic, where she tied for 15th with a 221 (+5). 

“Elin embodies the word student-athlete. She raises the par for the program in the classroom as well as on the course. Congratulations on her achievement,” said UCA Head Coach Natasha Vincent.

Kumlin excelled in the classroom with a 3.80 GPA in the pursuit of a degree in innovation and entrepreneurship.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team is a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better.
