20 Jul 2026 Seams Sew Crazy opens Aug. 1
CONWAY — Mandy Massey has purchased the sewing store formerly known as Sewing Center Etc. and renamed it Seams Sew Crazy. A grand opening celebration will be held Friday, Aug. 14, at 2665 Donaghey Ave., Suite 106. The ribbon cutting will take place at 10 a.m., and a celebration is planned from 4 PM to 8 PM, featuring appetizers, door prizes, karaoke, special sales and promotions.

Before purchasing the store, Massey was an instructor at the Sewing Center Etc. for two and a half years, teaching machine guidance, project-based sewing, quilting and embroidery. “So many local sewists may already know my face!” Massey said. “Now, under new ownership and with a fresh vision, the store has a new name, a new home, and a whole lot of new things to offer the Conway community.”
A New Name and a New Home
Seams Sew Crazy will open Aug. 1 at the Townsend Center, 2665 Donaghey Ave, Suite 106, in Conway. Massey describes it as a bright, open space with room for expanded fabric, classes and events. “This is a true fresh start: new ownership, new inventory, and new energy,” she said. “Above all, my vision is simple — a friendly, inviting space where every sewist, of any level, feels welcome and guided through their sewing journey.”
What’s new at the store — Brother machines have been added, and Seams So Crazy will continue to be Central Arkansas’ BERNINA dealer. Brother gives local sewists a wider range of machines, features, and price points, all backed by local service. “We also offer machine repair on ANY brand — whatever you sew on, we can keep it running,” Massey said.
New fabric lines — The store is bringing in Riley Blake Designs, Liberty fabrics — including the beloved Liberty Lawn — Laundry Basket Quilts, and Andover Fabrics, while expanding current lines: Tula, Tilda, Ruby Star, Moda, Kaffe, Hoffman, Clothworks, QT Fabrics, In the Beginning, Blank, 3 Wishes, Art Gallery, precuts, and more.
Wide back fabrics — A wide variety of wide back fabrics, from 60” to 108”, can complement finishing quilting projects — including Minky and Cuddle fabrics for that soft, warm feel.
Garment & heirloom — Beyond quilting cottons, Seams Sew Crazy will now carry garment and fine heirloom fabrics for smocking, children’s wear and special-occasion sewing — something you won’t find anywhere else in the area, according to Massey.
Classes & services — Massey has launched smocking classes, along with a full lineup of quilting, embroidery, machine guidance, and project classes for every skill level. Longarm quilting services are available in-store as well.
