St. Joseph presents awards

Jack Briggler received the Jim Banks Award.
The Father James Beagan Award went to Alexis Roach.

St. Joseph High School held its end-of-season basketball awards presentations on March 10. Players, managers and cheerleaders in the seventh through 12th grades were recognized for their achievements.

The two top awards went to the senior boy and girl for their all-around athleticism, academic standing and community service. 

Jack Briggler received the Jim Banks Award, named after the school’s first boys’ basketball coach who began the program in 1952. 

The Father James Beagan Award went to Alexis Roach. Father Beagan was an associate pastor at St. Joseph who was instrumental in starting the girls’ basketball program at the school in 1954.
