St. Joseph Cross Country Teams successful 

St. Joseph High School’s Cross Country Teams took part in their 2A-2 District Meet on Oct. 23 at Quitman. The runners came home with a number of honors. The Junior Girls Team was Runner-Up among the seven teams that competed. Seventh grader Edith Ramirez was a Top Ten medalist after finishing third place in a 2500 meter/1.55-mile run. Her time was 11:49:15. She was also named All-Conference.

Eighth grader Travis Jackson won first place in the Junior Boys run and he was also named All-Conference. His time was 10:02:84. The Senior Boys Team was also Runner-Up at the meet running a 5000 meter/3.1-mile course. Three of our boys landed in the Top Ten. Daniel Trusty won seventh place with a time of 19:36:80. Vince Porcaro was right behind him in eighth place at 19:38:51. Tenth place went to Xavier Stobaugh at 19:45:10. All three boys made All-Conference.

The Senior Teams will close out their year at the State Tournament at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs on Nov. 3.
