‘Reel’ big fun: Jacksonville hosts annual Youth Fishing Derby

JACKSONVILLE — Jacksonville’s annual Youth Fishing Derby returns for a morning of outdoor excitement, big catches and even bigger prizes! The event will take place on Saturday, June 14, at the Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation Shooting Sports Complex, located at 2800 Graham Road. Registration is from 7 a.m. until 8:00 a.m., with the derby kicking off at 8 a.m. and lasting until 10 a.m. 

The derby is open for children ages 15 and younger. Special prizes will be awarded for catfish. Participants are to bring their own pole, bait and fishing supplies. It is free to participate in the derby.
