Mustangs sweep Dallas Christian for fourth win in a row

CONWAY – Returning to A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse for the first time since Aug. 19, Central Baptist College volleyball looked to remain perfect against the Crusaders of Dallas Christian College last Saturday. CBC (6-6) dominated the match, improving their hitting percentage in each set to cruise to a 3-0 sweep of DCC (2-2).

Ahna Merrell, Faith Stone, Madeline Freeman and Caitlyn Miller all tied for the team lead in kills with eight apiece while Freeman led the way in assists with 17 (Brooke Schmitz added 14) and Mikayla Lawrence led in digs with 22 while Freeman recorded yet another double-double with 11 of her own. The Mustangs had 44 kills and hit .207 on the match and had six total blocks to hold DCC to an .079 hitting percentage on the night.

CBC had 11 kills in set one on a .103 hitting percentage, 14 in set two on a .222 hitting percentage and closed out the match with 19 kills and a .283 hitting percentage in the final set to move to 2-2 in three set matches on the season and 7-0 all-time against the Crusaders.
