High school football championships kick off on Arkansas PBS Dec. 5

CONWAY (Arkansas PBS) — Arkansas PBS will kick off the broadcast of the 2024 Centennial Bank High School Football Playoffs live from War Memorial Stadium tonight, Dec. 5, in partnership with the Arkansas Activities Association (AAA). In the week following each broadcast, championship games will be available to watch at myarpbs.org/watchsports.

AR PBS Sports will be broadcast statewide over the air, on cable and on satellite on Arkansas PBS’s primary channel. Arkansas residents can watch the broadcast of each game live at myarpbs.org/live.

 This week’s games airing live on AR PBS Sports will include:

  • Eight-man – Strong vs. Midland, Thursday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m.
  • 2A – East Poinsett County vs. Conway Christian, Friday, Dec. 6, at noon.
  • 5A – Little Rock Parkview vs. Farmington, Friday, Dec. 6, at 6:30 p.m.
  • 6A – Greenwood vs. Shiloh Christian, Saturday, Dec. 7, at noon.
  • 7A – Bryant vs. Bentonville, Saturday, Dec. 7, at 6:30 p.m.

 Throughout the state finals, AR PBS Sports will present profiles of outstanding student-athletes from each division, as well as other special segments featuring: Siloam Springs’s Unified Special Olympics Cheer team; Hugo Bezdek, the father of the Razorbacks; and Harding University’s football journey from breaking NCAA records to winning the Division II National Championship in 2023.
