Harding men’s tennis excels

The Harding men’s tennis team finished the season ranked 48th in the final Division II Men’s ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point released on Thursday (May 26). The Bisons also had two doubles teams ranked in the top 50 to finish the season. Arthur Bellan and Dani Ortiz finished No. 30 while Morgan Salvan and Alvaro De Lorenzo finished No. 43.

The Bisons finished the season 10-9. The Bisons opened the season with six straight wins. The Bisons also posted three wins over ranked opponents. The Bisons have been ranked at the end of the three full seasons. 

Bellan and Ortiz went 13-4 this season, going 6-4 at No. 1 and a perfect 7-0 at No. 2. The pair were named All-MIAA/GAC Second Team at No. 1 singles. The duo was a perfect 3-0 against nationally ranked opponents and 4-0 against regionally ranked opponents.

Salvan and De Lorenzo were 13-8 this season going 7-3 at No. 2 and 4-4 at No. 1. Salvan and De Lorenzo were also named All-MIAA/GAC Second Team at No. 2 doubles. The duo finished their career 32-14 as a team.
