Harding Men’s Indoor Track Cracks Top 20 in National Rankings

SEARCY — The Harding University men’s track and field team debuted at No. 19 in the first U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) indoor rankings of the season.

The Bisons accumulated 41.04 points, with several athletes contributing to the team’s top-20 ranking. Antiwain Jones led the way, ranking fifth nationally in the high jump with a mark of 2.15m (7-½) achieved on Dec. 7.

Other notable performances included:

  • Olaolu Olatunde, who ranked fifth in the 60m with a time of 6.68 seconds on Jan. 17.
  • Derick St. Jean, who ranked 16th in the 400m with a time of 47.81 seconds on Jan. 17.
  • Kelmen Decarvalho, who ranked sixth in the heptathlon with 5,211 points on Jan. 17.

The ranking marks a strong start to the indoor season for the Bisons, who will look to continue their success in upcoming competitions.
