From day one to graduation

The five seniors on this year’s Conway Christian School Homecoming Court have one special thing in common — they have all been in school together at CCS since they were old enough to start school.

Community activities: I attend South Side Baptist Church and sing in the choir.

Family: Parents Chris and Kim Powell; and brother Kirby Powell.

Who do you admire the most: My mom’s parents, Charles (Pawpaw) and Judy (Mimi) Wood because of their walk with Christ, not just individually but also their walk with Christ together. Also, how much love and support they show to the family.

Favorite meal: My Mimi’s Mexican chicken.

Most enjoyed weekend activity: Most weekends I attend ball games whether it is my own or my brother’s, but the few weekends we are off I just enjoy being at home with family and resting.

Favorite quote: My life verse is Galatians 2:20. “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”

Favorite place in Arkansas: Bee Branch (my home) because it is in the country, away from the city, but there are still many things to keep you busy.

Whitley Wooten

School: Senior at Conway Christian School.

Favorite subject: Bible and health.

What do you enjoy most at school: I love my school and how it is like a big family. I have known some of the people in my class since K4 and the friendship that we all share is really special. I
also love my Bible class and the discussions we have preparing us for the future.

Career plans: I plan to attend Ouachita Baptist University this fall and study dietetics. After graduating, I will apply for an internship to pursue a master’s degree and become a registered dietitian. I hope to someday use my knowledge of the Bible and degree in the mission field.

Elizabeth Kennedy

What do you enjoy most at school: Conway Christian has equipped me for my future in more ways than I can ever imagine. The teachers care about each one of their students and want them to succeed in school and their own personal life. The constant prayer and devotion the faculty here shows their students is incredible and is one of the things I enjoy most about Conway Christian.
