What do you love about living in the 501: I love that I live in a progressive community, but the tranquility of the country is just minutes away.

Job: Financial advisor for Edward Jones Investments.

Parents: Bob and Margaret Payne of Morrilton (Petit Jean Mountain).

Church activities: Member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Hobbies/special interests: Camping, travel, UK basketball, reading and being poolside with “the girls.”

How would you describe yourself: Loyal, committed, caring and always ready for a good time.

City: Conway.

How we met: I was a carhop at Sonic, and he was working a summer job at Nabholz and ate at Sonic every day. He finally asked me out, and the rest is history.

The proposal: While shopping in Little Rock, we ended up looking at rings. He bought the one I liked and proposed at Browning’s Restaurant in Little Rock.

Wedding bells: May 22, 1982, at First Baptist Church in Conway.

Children: Alexis Lewey, a nurse at the Conway Human Development Center, and son-in-law Andrew Lewey, owner of Conway Yellow Cab.

Pets: Cats, Oreo and Smoke.

Family activities enjoyed together: Camping, family time and travel.
