GAME ONE – CBC 10, STEPHENS 2 (SIX INNINGS)

CBC scored quickly in game one, taking a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a sac fly by Abi West. Another sac fly, this time by Kori Truelove, put CBC up 2-0 in the second and another West sac fly in the third, followed by an RBI groundout by Kinley Johnson, made it 4-0 after three. Stephens got their first run in the fourth to make it 4-1 before a two-run single by West and a single by Johnson made it 7-1 in the bottom half. The Stars made it 7-2 in the fifth before Caroline Byers made it 8-2 with a single in the bottom half. CBC ended the game early in the sixth on a wild pitch and a game-ending double by Anderson. Work earned the win by throwing a complete game and scattering seven hits and two runs with one strikeout.

GAME TWO – CBC 6, STEPHENS 5

The Mustangs jumped on Stephens early again in game two, taking a 4-0 lead in the first on a Johnson single, a wild pitch, and a two-run triple by Anderson. Stephens got a two-run homer in the second to make it 4-2 but another West sac fly made it 5-2 in the bottom half. Stephens would plate two in the third on a double and then tie the score at five in the fifth. In the seventh, the Mustangs loaded the bases with one out setting up heroics by pinch hitter Taviah Bradley, who popped a single down the line in left to walk off the Stars in game two and give CBC their first walk off win since last year against MBU. Alex Jeter picked up the win in relief, throwing four and two-thirds and allowing one run on three hits with a walk and a career-high seven Ks.
