CBC Softball sweeps Henderson State

The Central Baptist College Lady Mustangs kicked off their season with a sweep of Henderson State University. 

In the first game, junior Jessica Sheldon held the opposing offense to five hits and one run, while her offense rallied with seven runs, with a final score of 7-1. 

Freshman Peyton Jenkins led the Lady Mustangs going two for three at the plate, while Raeann Surrett and Christen Kirchner had two hits apiece. 

In game two, freshman Peyton Jenkins held the HSU Reddies to zero runs, tagging Jenkins with her first no hitter of the year. 

The offense rallied around the defense once again, creating a shutout score of 8-0 in five innings.

Surrett and Jenkins were tagged with two hits, while senior Christen Kirchner went two for two at the plate with a home run, and two RBIs.
