CBC captures Lyon Spring Invitational led by Pareepart’s individual title

MELBOURNE, Ark. – Carrying a six-shot lead into the final round of the Lyon Spring Invitational, Central Baptist College men’s golf was on the course March 11 at the Cooper’s Hawk Golf Club for the final round. CBC improved by one shot, finishing with a 301 to shoot a 603, 17 shots ahead of Briar Cliff for their second title this season.

Individually, Suraprat Pareepart shot a final round 74 to finish at 146, four shots ahead of second place to win his first individual title. Kitsakon Jairak closed with a 73 to shoot a 153 and finish in a tie for fourth with Emmanuel LaBeur who shot a final round 76. Jakub Slapal shot a final round 77 to shoot a 155 and finish in a tie for seventh while Leopold Maes finished with a 90 to shoot a 166. Preston Nestorenko and Paul Gomez competed as individuals with Nestorenko closing with a 76 to shoot a 155 in tie for seventh and Gomez shot a final round 79 to shoot a 159.

CBC hosts the 2024 Mustang Invitational next Monday and Tuesday at the Cypress Creek Golf Club in Cabot.
