Bisons selected second in GAC Preseason Men’s Cross-Country

SEARCY — Harding men’s cross-country landed second of eight teams in the Great American Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll, released Tuesday.

Harding returns all six of its 2022 All-GAC performers: Noah Haileab, Luke Walling, Zach Reed, Jackson Pruim, Nathan Perry and Matt Ingalsbe. Haileab placed fifth last season and was the GAC Freshman of the Year. Walling and Reed were also First Team All-GAC members. Harding’s team placed second at the GAC meet and 11th at the Central Region meet in Joplin, Missouri.

Harding runs the first of four regular-season meetings Saturday, Sept. 2 at the Memphis Twilight, hosted by Christian Brothers. The Bisons host the Steve Guymon Invitational on Sept. 15, and run regular season meets at Oklahoma State and Dallas Baptist before the conference meet on Oct. 21 in Russellville, Arkansas.
