Bisons continue hot streak

The Harding men’s tennis team posted their fourth straight win in sweep fashion, defeating Blue Mountain 7-0 at the Elliott Tennis Complex on Monday afternoon. The Bisons are now 7-4 on the season with three more wins against junior colleges. 

For the fourth straight time, the Bisons secured the doubles point with victories at No. 2 and No. 3. Hunter Demunbrun and Florian Gayme paired up for the 6-2 win at No. 2. Bryce Walker and Edoardo D’Arrigo clinched the point with a 6-0 victory at No. 3, and gave the Bisons the 1-0 lead. 

Cian Mikkelsen picked up the first singles victory for the Bisons, winning his third straight match 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1. Walker also picked up his third consecutive victory, winning 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2. Demunbrun clinched the match for the Bisons with a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 6. 

Jaydon van Vreden won at No. 5, 6-3, 6-4 for his second dual victory of the season. D’Arrigo won his 10th career victory with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 4. Florian Gayme picked up his second career victory with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 3.
