Woolly Hollow State Park plans Kids Fishing Derby

Woolly Hollow State Park near Greenbrier will host a Kids Fishing Derby from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5.

Kids ages 15 and younger are invited to try their luck in Lake Bennett at the park’s annual fishing derby.
A drawing at the end of the derby will be held for some excellent prizes.

Trophies will be awarded in three age groups for first, second and third place winners, plus overall biggest and smallest fish. Individuals should bring their own bait, stringer and tackle. Parent’s help is welcome, but kids must do their own fishing.

Bring lawn chairs and a picnic and plan to make a day of it.
