Warriors fire past Lyon for first home win

It was Hendrix’s first home win of the season after dropping their first two contests at Grove Gymnasium.

Tyler Deithloff led all scorers with 20 points and 7 boards.

Colton McMullin provided a season-high 18 points off the bench after shooting 4-of-7 from behind the arc. Of note, the senior guard nailed a three while being fouled in the act of shooting on two separate occasions, and was able to complete the four-point play both times.

Caleb Squires ended the night in double-figures as well after posting 16 points with 3 assists. Colten Berry backed that up with a 9-and-7 performance.

The Warriors put together what was their best offensive performance of the season to date by shooting 46.7% from the field and knocking down 10 of their 25 attempts from deep while shooting just 57% from the stripe.

Hendrix got 24 points from its bench and 14 off turnovers after turning the Scots over 11 times.

The win improves Hendrix to 2-6 (0-1 Southern Athletic Association) on the year.
