UCA Relay For Life invites community to ‘Wave Goodbye to Cancer’

The University of Central Arkansas (UCA) Relay For Life will host its annual event on Saturday, March 14, from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the Estes Stadium field at UCA.

This year’s theme, “Wave Goodbye to Cancer,” invites students and community members to come together in support of the American Cancer Society and the fight against cancer. Relay For Life is a signature fundraiser that celebrates cancer survivors, honors loved ones lost and empowers participants to take action in the fight against this disease.

The event will feature a survivor’s lap, a luminaria ceremony, games, vendors and informational booths, creating an evening of celebration, remembrance, and community involvement. Participants will have the opportunity to honor survivors, remember those impacted by cancer, and support life-saving research and patient programs.

The event is open to students and members of the Conway community, and all proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society’s mission to fund cancer research, provide patient support, and promote prevention and early detection.
