Trojans set new marks, finished second at 2024 Jackrabbit Invitational

BOULDER CITY, Nevada — Tuesday was a banner day for the Little Rock women’s golf team as several individual and team records were either matched or topped during the final round of the 2024 Jackrabbit Invitational at Boulder Creek Golf Club. Anna Dawson won the individual title, celebrating her 21st birthday with her first collegiate win, and the Trojans finished second in the team standings.

Little Rock’s three-round team total of 866 (287-297-282) set a new program record for lowest three-round score, eclipsing the previous mark by seven strokes (873, 2009). Their final round of 282 is the second-lowest single-round total in program history while the opening round of 287 ranks tied for fifth. Grand Canyon won the overall team title, finishing at 17-under (847). Little Rock’s total was 2-over par.

Dawson finished at 8-under (208) for the event with rounds of 70-72-66. Her final round (6-under 66) ties the program record set by Stina Resen during the 2015-16 season. Dawson moved up four spots during the final round, making seven birdies and 10 pars, and finishing with birdies on three of her final four holes.

Eleonore Aernouts made the podium with her teammate, finishing third at 5-under 211 with rounds of 68-73-70. Her opening round of 68 is tied for sixth in the program record book for individual low round. Agatha Alesson finished tied for 24th with a final total of 6-over 222 (75-75-72. Katja Mueller (9-over) finished tied for 34th, Viktoria Krnacova (16-over) was tied for 56th, and Fehild Graesel (19-over) finished tied for 64th.
