Trojans complete final day of East Coast Relays

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Little Rock men’s and women’s track and field teams completed the final day of the East Coast Relays Saturday.  The Trojans finished in the top 15 in five events.

The women’s 4x100m relay team of Maliyah Holland, Takia Palmer, Landri Schreier, and Makayla Jones placed tenth recording a time of 45.67 to rank the team fifth in school records.

In the men’s 4x100m relay, the team of Troy McKnight, Cogan DeRousselle, Frankie Grey, and Cameron Jackson placed eighth recording a time of 40.27 to rank the team eighth in school records.

Devin Stevens placed sixth in the men’s 800m with a time of 1:52.49.

In the men’s 110m hurdles, Matthew Tyeskie was the top Trojan finisher placing eighth recording a time of 14.22.  Matthew Fox recorded a personal best time of 14.66 to rank him eighth in school records, while Tyler Moore recorded a time of 15.03.

Schreier was the top Trojan finisher in the women’s 100m recording a time of 12.09.  Jones finished the event in 12.31, and Holland recorded a time of 12.33.  Takia Palmer finished with a time of 12.54.

In the men’s 100m, Jackson was the top Trojan finisher with a time of 10.55.  McKnight finished in 10.63, while Grey recorded a time of 10.77.

Aaliyah Mathis placed 11th in the women’s discus with a throw of 137-02 (41.82m).

Dion Murombe placed 17th in the men’s triple jump with a distance of 43-05.75, while in the women’s triple jump, Carolin Bielert recorded a jump of 38-11.50 (11.87m).
