PRCA Rodeo to be held in El Paso

The Central Arkansas PRCA committee is getting ready for its 7th PRCA Rodeo at 7 p.m. Friday, April 3, and Saturday, April 4, at the Two Bar Two Arena on the grounds of CrossRoads Cowboy Church, 3071 Hwy. 5, in El Paso.

The event has been ranked the third best PRCA Rodeo in Arkansas behind Fort Smith and Springdale. Both of these rodeos have been going on for 50 to 66 years.

Returning to Arkansas will again be Andrews Rodeo Co. Sammy and his brother James Andrews have been producing rodeos for more than 26 years and have received many awards for the stock that they bring to their rodeos.

The All American Cowgirl Chicks will perform both nights. Wearing the patriotic colors of red, white and blue, this equestrian drill team exemplifies the true meaning of their western heritage as they entertain crowds while riding for a cure for cancer. They will be performing an aggressive routine to upbeat music.

PRCA Rodeo Clown Gizmo McCracken will also be performing throughout the rodeo both nights. Gizmo has been entertaining crowds for 22 years and has traveled all over the United States and Canada.

The Central Arkansas PRCA is partnering with The Wounded Warrior of Arkansas, through the Marine Corps League of Arkansas. Some of the money raised from the rodeo will be go to help Arkansas soldiers as they readjust to life back home.
