MELBOURNE, Ark. — Entering the final round in third place, Central Baptist College men’s golf was on the course at Cooper’s Hawk Golf Club on Tuesday for the concluding 18 holes of the American Midwest Conference Championship. CBC shot a final round 314 for a total of 918 to finish in fourth place, three shots behind the third-place finishers.

Individually, Jakub Slapal shot a final round 74 to finish in fifth place with a 218, earning second-team all-conference honors. Preston Nesterenko was next, closing with an 82 to finish with a total of 233. Cooper Hermann, who was named the Newcomer of the Year, closed with an 80 for a total of 237 followed by Jack Higginbotham, who also shot an 80 for a 239 and Paul Gomez also shot a final round 80 for a total of 246.
