By earning the two honors this week, Tandy became only the seventh Harding male student-athlete to earn All-America and Academic All-America in his career. He is the only golfer on the list.

During the 2022-23 season, Tandy helped lead Harding to its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament, setting school record for scoring average (72.31), par or better rounds (14), individual winning percentage (90.0), birdies (120), eagles (9), par 4 scoring (4.11) and par 5 scoring (4.67).

Tandy finished in the top 10 nine times in 12 events this season. He placed seventh at the GAC Championship, sixth at the Midwest/Central Regional and seventh at the NCAA Championships.

Tandy, a junior finance major from Fayetteville, Arkansas, has a 3.98 GPA. It was the highest among all the golfers at the NCAA Championship, earning him the prestigious Elite 90 Award.

Tandy’s All-America citation was Harding’s 20th of the 2022-23 school year, and he is the 13th different Harding student-athlete to earn All-America during that time. Tandy’s Academic All-America honor is Harding’s fifth of the school year and third First Team honor. It is also the 99th Academic All-America honor earned all-time by a Harding athlete.
