Harding Men’s track ranked No. 21

SEARCY — After its first full-squad meet of the season at the Rumble in the Jungle Invitational in Pittsburg, Kan., the Harding men’s indoor track and field team is ranked 21st in the Division II rankings released by the United States Track and Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).


Harding has 41.05 points in the rankings.

There are six Bisons ranked in the top 21 nationally in their individual categories. Yyes Bilong ranks fourth in the triple jump (15.39m). Dakarai Bush is eighth in the 60-meter hurdles (7.99) and ninth in the 400 meters (48.23). Vlad Malykhin is ninth in the pole vault (5.00m), and teammate Jonathan Wall is 12th (4.90m). Antiwain Jones is 21st in the high jump (2.06m).

Harding also has two women ranked in the top 25. Pole vaulters Sierra White and Sarah Gautreaux both cleared 3.77 meters to rank 17th in Division II.

A small group of Harding athletes will be in action again Saturday at the Wendy’s Pittsburg State Invitational in Kansas.
