Harding men second at Arkansas Collegiate

The Harding men’s golf team jumped host Southern Arkansas on Tuesday after shooting a 13-over 301 and finished the Arkansas Collegiate in second with a 51-over 915. Sam Tandy, Manuel Cue Vargas, and Jake Croshaw all posted top-10 finishes for the Bisons. Henderson State took home the team title with a 36-over 900. 

Tandy sank five birdies in his 1-over 73 final round on Tuesday and moved up three spots after Round 2 to take sixth with a 9-over 225. Vargas shot 2-over 74 and finished tied for seventh at 10-over 226. Vargas sank 36 birdies over three rounds, the third most by anyone in the tournament. 

Croshaw shot a 4-over 76 in Round 3 and 10-over 226 for the tournament and tied for seventh. It was Croshaw’s second top-10 finish of the season. Leo Maciejek shot a 7-over 79, good for 23-over 239 and tied for 32nd.

Finlay Cummings was the final Bison competing in the team competition and posted his best score of the tournament on Tuesday, shooting a 6-over 78 and jumped twelve spots and finished tied for 49th. Wilf Rush was competing as an individual and ended tied for 43rd with a 27-over 243.
