Harding football climbs to No. 9 in AFCA Coaches Poll

SEARCY — With its 64-0 home win over Southwestern Oklahoma on Saturday, Harding football moved up one spot to No. 9 in the latest American Football Coaches Association Top 25 Poll and the D2Football.com poll. The Bisons stayed at No. 5 on MasseyRatings.com.

Harding, 5-0 on the season, has now appeared in 57 consecutive AFCA polls, dating to the final poll of the 2017 season.

In the Southwestern Oklahoma game, Harding rushed for 462 yards, the second-highest total in a Division II game this season, and returned two interceptions for touchdowns.

Harding goes on the road next Saturday to Alva, Oklahoma, where the Bisons will take on Northwestern Oklahoma. The Rangers are 0-5 and lost 44-21 at Arkansas Tech on Saturday.
