Golf tournament to aid Hunters Feeding Hungry program

A four-man scramble to benefit Arkansas Hunters Feeding the Hungry will be held Monday, June 8, at the Country Club of Arkansas in Maumelle.

Arkansas Hunters Feeding the Hungry is a program that provides venison and other wild game to those in need. Organizations, businesses and churches have joined farmers and hunters to transform an abundant white-tailed deer population into a renewable food source for the hungry.

Registration and lunch will be at 11:30 a.m., and tee-off time is 1 p.m. Entry fee is $400 per four-player team.

Prizes will go to the top finishers in two flights and also for holes in one, longest drive and shots closest to the pin.

Arkansas Hunters Feeding the Hungry is a successful and acclaimed program that has provided millions of meals to the state’s most needy citizens. The program depends on the generosity of hunters to donate venison and other wild game, cooperation from meat processors throughout the state, support from local food distribution organizations, and the financial contributions of businesses and citizens.
