While gyms and fitness centers have been closed due to COVID-19, the Conway Regional Health & Fitness Center has offered free online workouts to promote health and fitness.

Amanda Castillo has presented free Facebook Live workouts each weekday since the center temporarily closed in March because of the pandemic. She is the marketing coordinator and group exercise coordinator at the Conway Regional Health & Fitness Center. Amanda is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor, in addition to being a certified Schwinn® Cycling instructor, Yoga Fit® instructor and Barre Above® instructor.

“There is no equipment necessary and anyone can go to the videos and replay all of them at any time, in addition to joining in on the live videos. All they have to do is like our page!” Amanda said. “I just wanted a way to keep people moving and motivated during this time. It has really taken off!”

The workouts include:

Yoga – 12:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Strength – 2:30 P.M. Tuesday and Thursday

The center is scheduled to re-open to members at 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, but the Facebook Live workouts will continue.
