CBC Women’s soccer drops regular season finale

CONWAY – Looking to end the regular season on a high note, Central Baptist College women’s soccer, who has already clinched a spot in the upcoming American Midwest Conference tournament, hosted the Eagles of Williams Baptist this week in windy conditions at Centennial Soccer Park. CBC (6-9-2, 3-4-1 AMC) couldn’t muster any offense and surrendered a late penalty to fall to WBU (3-11-1, 3-4-0 AMC) 1-0.

Vitoria Loiola had the lone shot on goal and Bailey Walerczyk made three saves in goal. The penalty kick came in the 72nd minute to give WBU the late lead.

CBC will now have to wait until Saturday to find out who their first opponent will be in the AMC tournament, which will begin on Nov. 4.
