CBC players recognized

The American Midwest Conference recently announced their all-conference baseball teams at a banquet held in Joplin, Mo.

Ben Madison, Austin Kuchinski and Jose Delmar were honored with all-conference selections while Ryan Guyton was the champion of character and Austin Cree, Baker Wilson, Brett Luna, Charley Harber and Hunter Marshall were named to the All-Academic Team.

Madison was selected as both the co-pitcher of the year and a first-team all-conference player. He paced the conference and the NAIA in strikeouts with 149 and ranks in the top-10 in opponent batting average (.176) and hits allowed per nine innings (5.5) while holding a 2.58 ERA in 14 appearances.

Kuchinski was also a first-team selection for the third straight season. He paced the Mustangs with 12 home runs during the regular season and is also second on the team in batting average at .338 and RBIs with 38.

Delmar was selected to the second team. He leads the team in ERA (2.35) and wins (6) and is second in both innings pitched (78) and strikeouts (110).

GOLF

The American Midwest Conference also announced their selections for the All-Conference golf teams and those selections contained a pair of CBC Mustangs. Colton Ryan was selected as both the Freshman of the Year and to First-Team All-AMC while Leyton Clark was a Second-Team All-AMC selection.

Ryan posted several top 10 finishes this season including winning the individual title at the NCCAA Regional in the fall. Clark won the Mustang Invitational in March and posted two additional top-10 finishes during the spring season.
