CBC fights to scoreless draw with UAPB

CONWAY – Playing at home for the second consecutive Tuesday, Central Baptist College women’s soccer hosted the Golden Lions of the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff this week at Centennial Soccer Park. CBC (2-1-1) couldn’t cash in on three chances, fighting to a scoreless draw with UAPB (2-2-1).

Bailey Walerczyk stopped 10 shots in net for her fifth 10-plus save match of her career and her first career shutout. The Mustangs’ chances in the ninth, 27th and 34th minutes were all turned away pushing CBC to their first draw of the season.

CBC is back on the field on Friday night for the first game of the Pizza Ranch Classic against Northwestern College. Kickoff from Orange City, Iowa, is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
