Cabot Lions plan golf classic

A day at the golf course can help the Cabot Lions Club continue its vision-screening program for the Cabot community, buy a pair of eyeglasses for a local child or even assist a local adult in receiving a much needed glaucoma or cataract surgery.

The Cabot Lions Club will host its Annual “Memorial” Golf Classic at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14. The four-person scramble will be held at Cabot’s Rolling Hills Country Club (located on Mount Carmel Road/Highway 321).

Entry forms can be obtained via email at [email protected] or by calling 501.920.2122. The entry fee is $100 per person/$400 per team, which includes greens fees, golf cart and two free mulligans.

Prizes will be presented for the top three winning teams and additional tournament contest prizes will be awarded.  There will be two hole-in-one contests this year, sponsored by Centennial Bank and Red River Dodge-Jeep.

The entry deadline is Monday, Sept. 7.

This year’s tournament is being held in loving memory of Lion Rick Meadows, who loyally served the Cabot community in so many ways, from 1984 to 2014.

Opportunities are available for corporate and hole sponsors. Door prizes are also being accepted.
