Born to Be a Wampus Cat, Panther, Eagle, Bulldog, Thunderbird or War Hawk?

Sports fans in Faulkner County are known for their spirit. School pride is inherited and love of the game is learned at an early age. Many of the county’s current residents were born to be Wampus Cats, Panthers, Eagles, Bulldogs, Thunderbirds or War Hawks at Conway Regional.

More than 1,800 babies are born each year at the Conway Regional Women’s Center, with the majority growing up in Faulkner County to become loyal sports fans. Many of their parents and grandparents were also born at Conway Regional over the hospital’s 77-year history.

As Faulkner County residents begin flocking to football stadiums and basketball courts this school year to root on their favorite teams at Conway, Greenbrier, Vilonia, Mayflower, Conway Christian, St. Joseph, Guy-Perkins and Mount Vernon-Enola, a new social media campaign at Conway Regional is creating a buzz.

The campaign encourages fans to submit their photos via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter with their school’s designated contest hashtag. A voting period will be held at the end of the season and a GoPro video recording device will be awarded for the photo with the most votes. The #BornToBeAWampusCat #Contest has already started and similar contests will be launched for other Faulkner County Schools very soon. Fans can follow Conway Regional Health System on Facebook and Twitter for updates about their school’s contest.

The “BornToBe…” campaign is also depicted with images on the back of game tickets and passes to Conway and Greenbrier games under the heading “Great Teams Deliver.”

The “BornToBe…” campaign will also be visible on Conway Corporation channel 5 programming with an exclusive sponsorship of all Wampus Cat sports and coaches shows.
