TEMPE, Ariz. — The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its updated NCAA Division II national rankings on Wednesday, and the Harding men’s tennis program is well-represented across the board. Highlighting the release is a historic move for the doubles pair of Adrian Solorzano and Cian Mikkelsen, who jumped to No. 2 in the nation.

The duo of Solorzano and Mikkelsen holds a 10-1 record and leads a deep list of ranked Bisons that includes three nationally ranked singles players and two top-tier doubles teams.
Doubles Dominance
Harding’s success at the top of the lineup has been a catalyst for the team’s 6-2 start. Behind Solorzano and Mikkelsen at No. 2, the Bisons also boast the No. 35-ranked pair in the country in Sebastian De Las Salas and Edoardo D’Arrigo.
De Las Salas and D’Arrigo have posted a 4-1 record and were instrumental in Harding’s recent home-opening win over Northwest Missouri State, clinching the doubles point at the David Elliott Tennis Complex.
Singles Success
In the singles rankings, the Bisons feature a trio of athletes in the Top 75.
- No. 35 – Adrian Solorzano: Leading the charge for Harding, Solorzano sits at No. 35 in the country with a 6-4 record.
- No. 71 – Sebastian De Las Salas: The junior remains a mainstay in the national rankings after battling through a rigorous schedule against top-ten opponents.
- No. 74 – Cian Mikkelsen: Mikkelsen rounds out the ranked Bisons, sitting at No. 74 nationally with a 5-5 record.
Team Outlook
In the team rankings, Harding is currently ranked No. 36 in the country. The Bisons are one of five MIAA/GAC programs represented in the Top 50, showcasing the strength of the Central Region.
