Baseball Bisons fall to UAM in midweek matchup

SEARCY — Harding had its eight-game winning streak come to an end Tuesday with a 15-0 loss to Arkansas-Monticello in a seven-inning nonconference game at Jerry Moore Field.

Harding, undefeated at 3-0 in the Great American Conference, returns to action this weekend, hosting Oklahoma Baptist for a three-game series.

Harding’s hits Tuesday came on a Drew McNeel line drive single to left in the third inning and a Wesley Featherston pinch hit single to center in the seventh. McNeel has reached base safely in six straight games.

Harding used seven pitchers in the game. Parker Newby and Brian Hamilton both had scoreless outings in relief. Newby did not allow a hit in 1.2 innings, and Hamilton blanked UAM in the seventh.
