WRI hosts January culinary classes

The Winthrop Rockefeller Institute will host two culinary classes in January.

The "Made from Scratch" Culinary Workshops offer every “cheficinado” an opportunity to test out and develop new skills and techniques by attending a wholesome, hands-on cooking class at Winthrop Rockefeller Institute. Classes are from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and are $80 per person.

Saturday, Jan. 12 – “Everything breakfast.”

Jason Knapp will teach participants how to properly cook eggs, omelets, a savory muffin with bacon and green onion that has a soft boiled egg inside, macerated fruit and more.

Saturday, Jan 26 – “Seafood Simplified.”

Robert Hall will teach participants how to prepare seared scallops, butter poached lobster, shrimp ceviche and more.
