Women’s Business Showcase scheduled Feb. 28 at UCA

The University of Central Arkansas will host its first Women’s Business Showcase from 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, in McCastlain Hall on campus.

Thirty-six women-owned businesses from across Central Arkansas will gather at UCA to promote their businesses and showcase their products and services to the public. Attendees will also have the opportunity to enjoy food, win door prizes, shop and network.

This is a free event, however, participants must RSVP at uca.edu/outreach/women or by calling 501.450.3118.

Speakers for the event include UCA First Lady Jenny Davis; Christy Horpedahl, program manager for the Arkansas Center for Research in Economics at UCA; and Patricia Nunn-Brown, director for minority and women-owned business enterprises at the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. Whitney Long, host of “Here and There in Conway” and mortgage manager with Iberia Bank, will emcee the event.

An interactive art exhibit by Brenda Yelvington, titled “See Who You Are,” will also be on display.

The event is hosted by the Division of Outreach and Community Engagement in partnership with the Women’s Leadership Network at UCA. For more information, visit uca.edu/outreach.
