White County Single Parent scholarships awarded for spring

The White County Single Parent Scholarship Fund, Inc. (WCSPSF) recently awarded its scholarships for the spring semester. Thirteen scholarships were awarded with a combined value of $11,750.00. Since its inception in 1999, WCSPSF has awarded 740 scholarships with a combined value of $472,074.00.  

Spring scholarship awardees and donors are: Sandra Boyce (ASU Beebe), Jessica Coburn (Simmons Bank), Jaelyn Cochran (Arkansas Department of Higher Education), Edith Evans (First Security Bank), Tara Forste (First Community Bank), Valerie Hartwick (Arkansas Department of Higher Education), Hailie Jackson (Southern Bank), Ariel Lackey (Arkansas Department of Higher Education), Ashlee Luck (Pulliam Family), Chelsea Martin (David Ratley Memorial/Guns Plus), Emily Runyon (Hawley Family Foundation), Savannah Steward (Arkansas Department of Higher Education), and Rachael Vickers (Centennial Bank).

Executive Director Dan Newsom expressed appreciation to the scholarship donors and the community for their continued partnership and support in providing hope and changing lives through education for the single parent families of White County who are pursuing post-secondary education to provide a better life for themselves and their families.
