Unity Health recently welcomed physician Matthew Brown, M.D., to the local medical community.
Brown will join the Unity Health – Searcy Medical Center in general surgery with a focus in advanced laparoscopy. He attended medical school in San Antonio and completed his general surgery residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2016. He fulfilled a fellowship in advanced laparoscopy at the Texas Endosurgery in San Antonio earlier this year.
Brown is originally from Texarkana, Texas, and enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, backpacking, cycling, hunting and kayaking. He also graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a major in religion from Baylor University and engages in intellectual interests, including theology and history. “I am excited about working with my new colleagues to serve the residents of this area,” Brown said.
