Unity Health Family Day at the Farmers’ Market

Unity Health recently hosted Family Day at the Farmers’ Market, providing visitors with the opportunity to enjoy a fall day with activities for all ages. Unity Health sponsors specialty shirts for the Searcy Certified Farmers’ Market and all proceeds benefit the market.  

Fresh fall produce, meat and baked goods were available from local farmers, Nooma Mind, Body, Experience Studio offered yoga for children, Unity Health Healthworks Department offered a treasure hunt for kids, Main Street Searcy offered pumpkin painting, Harding University College of Pharmacy students performed wellness screenings, Stu’s Brew served coffee and hot drinks, and a petting zoo was available with farm animals. Unity Health also sold long sleeve shirts and sweatshirts that will continue to be available for purchase at the Searcy Certified Farmers’ Market. 

Judy Glenn, a member of the Unity Health Healthworks Department, teaches cousins Rickey and Thomas Hare the importance living health-centered.This event served to celebrate Unity Health’s 50th anniversary year. Throughout 2017, many events have been held to commemorate the special occasion and celebrate with the community. Unity Health’s history began in January 1967 and the system is proud to continue to improve the health of the communities it serves.
