Unity foundation accepting scholarship applications

The Unity Health Foundation and Unity Health – White County Medical Center Auxiliary have announced applications are now available for the 2016 Scholarship Program.

Applications are open to students in White County who are pursuing careers in the medical field. Applicants must be a child of a Unity Health associate or a Unity Health associate who works at any Unity Health location in White County. Applicants of students who are not associates must be a resident of White County.

The Foundation scholarships were established as memorials for a loved one, or in memory or in honor of people who made great contributions to healthcare in White County.

“We think it’s important for the Auxiliary to give back,” said Auxiliary President June Tripp. “The purpose is to provide money to those who want to pursue careers in healthcare and our hope is that awareness is heightened about the need for students to enter healthcare related fields.”

Fifteen $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors or associates going into healthcare-related fields of study, which might include computer applications, accounting or other business careers.

Completed applications and all supporting materials are due to the Unity Health Foundation Office at 1200 South Main, Searcy, AR 72143, no later than 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 16. Incomplete applications or applications received after the deadline will not be accepted.

Applications are available through all high school counselors in White County or the Foundation Office. For more information, please contact Allison Galbreath at 501.278.8570 or via email at [email protected].
