06 Apr 2015 UCA to host jazz dance

The University of Central Arkansas Department of Music will host a jazz dance at the Conway Country Club at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 11.

UCA Jazz Ensembles I and II will perform hits of the Big Band era encompassing all styles of ballroom dance: Latin, swing and waltzes.  

“You are invited to experience a magical evening of Big Band music as the UCA Jazz play and sing your favorites from the past,” said saxophone professor Dr. Jackie Lamar. “Come listen and dance to the hits of Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington.”

Dress is semi-formal; refreshments will be provided.
