UACCM hosts college infromation session

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton will host a free information session on going to college from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at the Fine Arts Auditorium at UACCM.

The session features an interactive student panel who will share what they wish they had known before starting college. Staff from the UACCM Financial Aid Office will explain the new rules for financial aid and give tips on how to go after the “free money” available for college students.  Attendees will also be informed about student support services that help them succeed in their college experience. Additionally, three participants will have the opportunity to win a $100 book scholarship to the UACCM University Bookstore.

At the event, guests can visit with instructors and representatives in their areas of interest.  With two small-group breakout sessions, participants can choose what is most relevant to them from the following categories: financial aid; general education transfer programs; air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration technology; automotive collision repair technology and automotive service technology; business; computer information systems technology; drafting; early childhood development; education; fine arts including art, music, and theater; health science including nursing, EMT, and dietary management; petroleum technology; surveying; and welding.
