Tour of homes benefits campaign

The homes were beautiful and the crowds turned out for the 2012 Bethlehem House Holiday Tour of Homes held recently at The Village at Hendrix.

This was the first year for the tour, where the homeowners themselves chose Bethlehem House to benefit from the event proceeds.

In three days of tours, ticket sales were $8,000. In addition, Bethlehem House received a match of $2,500 from Modern Woodmen of America. The Windgate Foundation of Siloam Springs and the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation of Tulsa will both match the ticket sales.

The total raised after matching grants is $26,500 and all proceeds go toward the $1.3 million “Hope for the Homeless Capital Campaign.”

Executive director Judi Lively expressed her appreciation to The Village at Hendrix, its homeowners, volunteers and those who took the tour. “You have helped those who need it the most, the homeless.”
