Team Little Rock presents awards

The 19th and 314th Airlift Wings recently honored their best of the best at the Team Little Rock Annual Awards ceremony at the Embassy Suites in Little Rock.

The 19th Airlift Wing Winners were:

  • Airman of the Year – Staff Sgt. Leah Chhouen
  • NCO of the Year – Tech. Sgt. George Wild
  • Senior NCO of the Year – Master Sgt. James Sheerin
  • Company Grade Officer of the Year – Capt. Peter Namyslowski
  • Field Grade Officer of the Year – Maj. Cataleya Carlson
  • Civilian Employee of the Year, Category I – Angela Lehrke
  • Civilian Employee of the Year, Category II – Katherine Milligan
  • First Sergeant of the Year – MSgt Benjamin Sward
  • Base Honor Guard Member – Airman 1st Class Sterling Dixon
  • Key Spouse of the Year – Melissa Munfakh
  • Volunteer of the Year – Robert Frederick

The 314th Airlift Wing Winners were:

  • Airman of the Year – Senior Airman Jonathan M. Rollis
  • NCO of the Year – Tech. Sgt. Jonathan A. McRoy
  • Senior NCO of the Year – Senior Master Sgt. Jonathan Merced
  • Company Grade Officer of the Year – 1st Lt. Jonathan A. Farr
  • Field Grade Officer of the Year – Maj. Brenton R. Gaylord
  • Civilian Employee of the Year, Category I – Mary M. Rosson
  • Civilian Employee of the Year, Category II – Jon D. Norcross
  • First Sergeant of the Year – Master Sgt. Jason R. Ray

In addition to the annual award winners, the base awarded its Cornerstone Award to Roger Sundermeier, vice president of marketing at First Arkansas Bank &Trust. The Team Little Rock Cornerstone Award is presented to a civic leader who excels in the following strengths: base involvement, community involvement, Airman interaction, mission impact and commitment of service to Team Little Rock. Among his many accomplishments, Sundermeier designed the state-issued license plate benefiting the base’s spouses club; he also designed and donated the base’s 60th anniversary logo to the Air Force; and he serves as the 48th Airlift Squadron Honorary Commander.
