‘Tea Party with Pinkalicious’ to benefit children’s program

Reynolds at the University of Central Arkansas will present the children’s program “Pinkalicious” in February. The program is based on the popular children’s book “Pinkalicious” by Victoria Kann and Elizabeth Kann.

The performance features Pinkalicious, who can’t stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor’s office with Pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe – a dream come true for this pink loving enthusiast. But when her hue goes too far, only Pinkalicious can figure out a way to get out of this predicament.

The program is recommended for children in grades Pre-K through fourth.

A public performance is scheduled at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11. Main Stage ticket prices are $5 for children and $10 for adults.

A special fundraising event – a tea party with Pinkalicious – is planned after the matinee performance Feb. 11. Enjoy sips and sweets, and you’ll get to meet and take a photo with Pinkalicious. Tickets are $25 each (for children and adults) and do not include the performance.

Proceeds benefit the MainStage EdUCAtion Series. To order tickets, visit uca.edu/publicappearances/main-stage/pinkalicious.

Performances for school groups are planned 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12. Educators interested in bringing students should visit uca.edu/publicappearances/main-stage/pinkalicious to complete a reservation form. A study guide is also available online.
