St. Joseph boys golf team wins district tournament

The St Joseph High School Boys Golf Team won the Class 2A, District 2 Championship Tournament held at the Links at Cadron Valley in Conway on Sept. 18.

The Bulldogs shot a team score of 235. Conway Christian was second with a 258 followed by Bigelow and Quitman.

St. Joseph’s Collin Coney, a freshman, led the field with a medal-winning 76. Sophomore Gus Longing shot a 79, junior Timmy Coney had an 80 and sophomore Luke Bruich finished with an 89.

The team is under the direction of  Head Coach Mike Prall and Assistant Coach Brent Breeding.
