01 Jul 2026 Historic Arkansas Museum hosts annual Frontier Fourth
Little Rock — Historic Arkansas Museum will host its annual Frontier Fourth celebration on from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, July 4.

Celebrate America’s 250th birthday, enjoy a piece of birthday cake and add your signature to a giant replication of the Declaration of Independence! There will be historic games and make-and-take activities, including fans, flags and patriotic buttons called cockades. Living Craft demonstrations on the historic grounds by costumed interpreters will bring the past to life and attendees can listen to music by Artists United as well as Starr Mitchell and George West.
Be sure to stay until the event’s culmination – a parade around the grounds while singing Yankee Doodle, a reading of the Declaration of Independence and historic toasts followed by a hearty “Huzzah!” by our guests. And as always, cool off with some ice-cold lemonade and watermelon!
The event is open to the public and free to attend.
