Salvation Army auxiliary plans lunch, style show Oct. 16

The Central Arkansas Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary will hold its annual Autumn Runway luncheon, style show and silent auction on Monday, Oct. 16, at St. Mark Baptist Church in Little Rock. Doors open at 10:45 a.m. for the silent auction, and lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., followed by the style show. 

The style show will be presented by fashion designer Korto Momolu, a native of Liberia who now resides in Little Rock. Momolu was a contestant on “Project Runway,” where she was voted Fan Favorite and placed as first runner-up in the season’s finale. She has since designed clothing for numerous celebrities, created an accessory line for Dillard’s, a jewelry line for Smithsonian museum stores and uniforms for Crystal Bridges museum. 

Proceeds from the event will go toward food and supplies for the Salvation Army’s shelter for the homeless.
